Protest Season in DC: Day without Immigrants

16 February, 2017.

Just 19 days before, Donald Trump had been inaugurated as President of the United States of America. That day also marked and fuelled the proliferation of Trump-focused protests across the country.

On this specific day, in response to his anti-immigrant rhetoric and executive actions which had already reached an unexpected level of holy-shit-is-this-happening-ness, thousands of people in Washington DC who identified as immigrants chose not go to work

They took to the streets instead. As did I, with a few of the people I worked with.
